Course Content:
This
course provides an overview of health and social care pathways. In
addition it aims to help improve writing skills, care skills- To include:
promoting health and leisure lifestyles (sport and leisure)

Skills for
babysitting in the home.

Exploring
leisure and recreational activities for service users.
·
Creative play
for pre-school children in care and early years.
·
Preparing to
care for babies in care and early years.
·
Taking part
in voluntary care services.
·
Forming
effective relationships with service users
·
Using aids to
help with physical care of service users.
·
Dealing with
minor accidents in care settings.
·
Reducing
risks to service users in care settings.
·
Planning and
preparing a meal for service users in care settings.
·
Monitoring
the health of service users in health and care settings.
·
Taking
part in health promotion services
Duration: 1 year
Entry Requirements:
English
at first certificate or IELTS Level
Assessment: Through
written assignments, presentations or role plays. However, two of these
assignments will be set and marked by the awarding body. To a large
extent, they involve relating theory to practice and will be completed
over a period of time. This means that they are not done under exam
conditions.
