Examinations Structure
Five compulsory papers:
- Strategic Management
- Human Resources Management
- Financial Management
- Case Study in Business Policy
- Marketing Management
Candidates who have not previously studied Accountancy are advised to take
a preliminary course in that subject.
Entry Requirements
The following are qualified to sit the Advanced Diploma examinations:
- Students who have successfully completed the Diploma examinations.
- Students who have been granted complete exemption from the Certificate
and Diploma by virtue of holding one of the following:
- A degree in a relevant discipline i.e. Business Studies, Business
Administration, Management Science, Accountancy or Business Information
Technology, awarded by a recognize UK or Overseas University, or validated
by the UK Council for National Academic Awards (CNAA).
- A first or upper-second class honors degree in the Humanities, Sciences
or Engineering from a recognized institution.
- A lower-second, third class or pass degree in the Humanities, Sciences
or Engineering from a recognized institution, together with at least two
years experience in a position of administrative, managerial or executive
responsibility.
- A BTEC Higher National Award in Business Studies, with papers marked at
(Grade C) or above.
- The final professional examinations of certain professional bodies.
- A Diploma in Management Studies awarded by a Polytechnic or Institute of
Higher Education and validated by the CNAA. ·
- Other recognized qualification of approved overseas universities.
Course Duration
One year full-time.
Exemptions
Exemptions/admission will be granted to the holders of the qualifications
of the Association of Business Executives, in respect of examinations, by
the following Professional Bodies:
- The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants
- The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
- The Institute of Data Processing Management
- The Chartered Insurance Institute
